Where there is a will, there is a way!
In January 1999, the same month when it snowed in Bakersfield, California, the last year of last century, the year when my love and I met, I made the decision to quit smoking for good. I was told that I should not be too happy, that I would "fall" again (I had already "tried to quit" other 12 times before ...).
Somehow, though, I started to have more and more faith in the process: Not today! Not right now! No, thanks! One step at a time. That is all it took.
Today, nineteen years and about four months later, here I am, proud to stick to my ground: So far, I've done it!! Thank you, God, for giving me the strength and the wisdom to continue to make the right decision to choose a healthier life.
